Favorite Stores / Boutiques / Online Stores
1. Dainty Hooligan (Online)
2. Heartbreaker
3. BP Nordstrom
4. Len Druskin
5. Forever 21
6. The Rage (Online)
These are my top 6 all-time favorite stores right now. I found the two online boutiques on Pinterest (go figure). I have had great experiences and am very satisfied with all my purchases so I highly recommend them. It is also good quality clothing and reasonably priced! So score! I am such a summery outfit kind of girl, so these two boutiques are right up my alley. I also really like having clothes that no one else really has. I love recommending and telling people where I got things, makes me feel good that people like my style.

Headbands
I have always had trouble finding headbands that stay on my head. Apparently I have an odd shaped head or something? Whatever. I have found what works for me! I have very very fine hair and they usually always slide out, but I have found cute headbands at Francesa's and Forever 21. I think a cute headband can add something to your hair if you're looking for a new style. And okay, I'm not talking about the old school, plastic, U-shaped headbands. I'm referring to the lace, gemstones, and stretchy material that goes around your head. I really like the ones that have the elastic on the bottom/back side of the headband where your hair covers it up. I have found that these ones work the best for my hair. I always get compliments on my hair when I have one of these headbands it, it always adds a little flare and character!
Enjoy! xoxo

Maroon & White Look
I love jeans and an oversized top! That's when I feel my most comfortable! I am so happy the weather is getting nicer and I can finally wear my white jeans (but I'm trying not to wear them everyday). So I threw this look together with a solid color maroon top and my favorite white jeans! Although I have been eyeing out some destroyed white skinny jeans at Express that I really want! I might have to take the plunge and get them soon. But I am always about statement necklaces as well! I finally convinced my dad to help me build a Pinterest inspired necklace holder with cute door knobs so I can visually see all my necklaces. I am always on the hunt for new ones and slowly growing my collection now that I have the perfect place to put them. Matching my black and gold necklace with my cute gold flats just seemed to work out perfectly. I do need to find some more cute flats for this summer and try to not live in sandals alllllll summer.

Summer Outfits on My Mind
So I just got this red lace bow top and these adorable brown wedges this week and I want it to be the middle of summer right NOW so I can rock these babies! I have an online boutique shopping obsession with a few southern boutiques currently (see clearly I don't belong in Minnesota). But anyways- I got this cute red blouse with lace back & bow at The Rage Boutique. The online website is www.shoptherage.com. I am totally in love. I wish I could go to this place in person but for now I am stuck with online ordering which isn't half bad. My items came in two day priority shipping, so that was awesome! But I have seen many versions of this shirt on Pinterest, but what I like about this particular one, is that it is a little different then all the others. I cant wait to wear it this summer with a cute bandeau underneath! For now I am sticking with a tank underneath until it gets more "acceptable" to wear less (haha).
I also got these brownish Soda wedges the other day from Len Druskin. My all time favorite store as well. I usually shop at the Mall of America and they just re-renovated this Len location, and let me tell you, I wanted to buy EVERYTHING! Yes, I shop at MOA and it is AWESOME. I always feel like I am at home when I am there.
But I am excited to bust these babies out this summer with some jean shorts and of course allllll of my summer dresses I am so overly ready to wear. For those of you that don't live in Minnesota, or have never been- our winters are very long. Once it hits 50+ out, you will find us acting like it summer. You don't understand. That is warm. Haha obviously I love my 90+ days in this beautiful state in the summer, but once it starts getting above freezing, I get so excited to wear my dresses. (I know I know California living is in the works, slowly but surely- SOMEDAY!)
Its been 70 & sunny today so I've been outside soaking up all the vitamin D that I can!
Have a fabulous day!

Red Fridays
Who doesn't love pulling out their white jeans and favorite wedges from the back of their closet for the perfect spring outfit! Well yesterday was that day for me! Apparently red has become my "friday color".. I have no idea why, but I guess I'll roll with it! I worked all day, then had dinner with my parents and it was so easy to take my "working outfit" and make it an evening outfit with some red lips and a jacket! Loving this look and Francesca's of course for my great finds for the top & necklace!
Nothing like a little Saturday morning blogging at work.. ugh coffee is much needed this morning! Lots of vanilla carmel creamer too!
Happy Saturday loves! Enjoy your weekend!

Boho Chic!
I have recently been trying this whole "Boho Chic" look and am loving it at the moment. You defiantly have to style it the right way, but hey you can do whatever you want also! (& thats exactly what I do) I threw this on for work today, I knew it was going to be nice out but I also knew I was going to be stuck inside all day. I usually start with one piece of clothing and build an outfit from that one piece. Today, that was my Francesca's headband, I am so in love with this headband since most headbands don't ever stay on my head! This one is a winner for sure. I also wanted to be semi springy on top of my boho headband look. I recently found the cutest jean jacket to throw on over outfits for the beginning of spring! (Surprisingly enough I found the jacket at Target.. it's still growing on me)
So wa la!! I couldn't wait to get my butt out in the 75 degree sunshine today after work. My evening ended up looking like this.... Pretty much perfection. Although it required a light sweatshirt... this girl was all smiles enjoying a beer in my backyard poolside. I'm too pumped for summer to be here to be able to throw on a bikini and soak up some much needed vitamin D!

Work Casual
Yesterday I took it upon myself to make it a casual outfit day for myself at work, (haha on a Tuesday, whoops) but I was feeling lazy and wanted to wear something comfortable. I just had gotten done kicking my own ass in the gym so I was a) sore and b) being laaaazy. So my casual "go to" outfit is always jeans and a cute top of some sort. Of course with a necklace or earring accent. If I really could have it my way, my hair would be up on the top of my head in a messy bun, but I figure I might as well try to look halfway presentable if I was going for the whole casual look with my clothes.
I ended up throwing my hair into a side pony because I was in "one of those hair moods" where I didn't want to deal with it all day annoying me. And off to work I went!

I also had to share a picture of my hot pink Micheal Kors Tote that I am literally obsessed with right now for purses. I got it at a Micheal Kors outlet when I was in Los Angeles and got a GREAT deal.. like half off great deal. Obsessed! Oh & it matched my outfit perfectly, so talk about a double score! Okay and as soon as I jumped in the car.. my sunroof was down and I had to throw on my shades, turn up the music and enjoy the sunny warm ride to work.
Funny side note about my Nordstrom Baseball TShirt that I wore yesterday... I'm convinced it's totally cursed in the wine department- Yes, the alcoholic wine department. The very first day I bought this shirt I wore it to work and within 15 minutes of me getting there.. a lady "accidentally" spilled her RED WINE all down the front of the white side of my BRAND NEW shirt. I was mortified and mad and totally cut that bitch off. Great start to my workday. Weirdly white wine takes out red wine stains on clothing?? (thanks Pinterest) so I quickly wasted some more wine and poured white wine all over the red wine spill and threw it in the wash and to my amazement, the stain came out. Thank god. Where am I going with this "my shirt is cursed story"... Well second day of ever wearing this shirt, (about 3 weeks later because I was "too afraid to ruin it again") I wear it with this cute casual outfit as posted in this post. So what do you know.. as soon as I get there, I go to pour a glass of white wine for a client.. and I completely knock over a wine glass, shattering it. I quit. No more. This shirt clearly doesn't want me to serve or drink wine.
You bet your ass I came home from work and poured a huuuuuge glass of wine and enjoyed every last drop. (not in my cursed wine shirt... too soon!)
Casually, xoxo

Spring Maxi Dresses
Okay so I cannot express enough how excited I am for spring! That obviously means its time to break out the flip flops and dresses. Im so over the cold and have been searching hardcore for the perfect maxi dresses for spring! One of my absolute favorite online boutiques is Dainty Hooligan Boutique. I stumbled upon it on Pinterest, go figure. It is the perfect little southern summer boutique that is right up my alley in the style department. I love that they have such a great online shop and if you spend over $100.. free shipping. Lets just say I've never paid for shipping yet! I have been eyeing out some spring outfits that I wanted to share!

Obsessed is an understatement and I am going to have to snag these maxis soon and of course the fuchsia romper! Maxi dresses are so comfortable to wear and they look so awesome. This website is to die for also. Spend some time looking through all their stuff. I have purchased a lot of stuff off of this website over the past 6 months. It all is reasonably priced and so trendy.

Happy Monday!
Finally getting into the swing of things with this blog, I finally have time to sit down and share my thoughts and ideas! woohoo! I love putting outfit ideas together so I am going to be sharing that today. I am so so so so antsy for spring to hurry up and get here! Today it's 57 degrees.. which basically means swimsuit weather.. (in Minnesota!) ha just kidding, but I have been driving around with my sunroof down all morning- the sun and warmth feels so good!

I wore both of these outfits to work last week and I was obsessed with them. The H&M cargo jacket is one of my newest purchases and I am in love with it. I had been looking for that type of coat for a while and I'm so happy I finally found it. It's lightweight and perfect for spring! I visited my boyfriend in Los Angeles this past Januaury and we of course had to hit up some malls while I was there and I found great deals on a couple pairs of True Religion jeans and they are my absolute FAV!
Heartbreaker Grey Cardigan, Heartbreaker Cheetah Tank Top, Red Flying Money Jeans, Heartbreaker Black Knee High Boots, & Target Gold Earrings |
The second cheetah look just was toped off with my favorite red lips! Always fun & classy! It was actually a super comfortable outfit too. I love boots with anything in the winter time because its just so easy and I feel really comfortable. Oh, and its usually snowing too. So cute shoes usually get all wet and ruined, boots are my go to in the winter.
I am still working on the design of this blog, so bare with me! Being a graphic designer, I expect perfection from myself (duh, not possible- but my goal). So the design will hopefully get better and better!
Always, xoxo!

Hello
All of my social media accounts are private. This is going to be a little bit different. I've always wanted to start a fashion blog and to have somewhere to put down my thoughts and share my photos and inspirations I find on the internet and out in the world. This is going to be where I share my thoughts and literally everything else involving the wonderful world of fashion because it gives me something to believe in, it gives me hope. One outfit, or one shopping trip can make my entire day- its that simple.
As a summer girl a heart, I live in the cold cold state of Minnesota. Which ultimately means my wardrobe doesn't exactly fit this climate. Every winter I wait (and wait and wait and wait) for spring and summer to come around. I defiantly love everything having to do with the warmer weather (anything about 70 degrees). Growing up in Minnesota hasn't been the best when it comes to all of my summer clothes making it out of my closest. Someday I dream of living in a warmer state where the sun is always shining.. (ultimately hopefully in the next 6 months- no joke).
When I am not checking my Twitter or Instagram feed (wait let me do that quick now), I am pinning my "dream closet" on Pinterest and getting inspiration from every little thing posted on that amazing website. I am constantly finding new clothing websites and boutique websites that I absolutely love. Its so much fun online shopping, adding to my already overflowing walk in closet of clothes.
Bloggers give me inspiration to pursue what I love, and that is sharing my love for clothing and all things fashionable.
Enjoy!
XOXO
